This is a research guide to highlight library materials appropriate for Education. The tabs above will help you locate quality Education resources. Books, journal titles, videos and DVDs can be found through the Library catalog. If you need research assistance or have suggestions or comments about this guide, please contact me. Things to Do When on Campus

Visit the Library

 Circulation DeskCirculation Area / Information Area -- As you enter the library, you will notice the Circulation area,    where you can check out materials.  This desk is staffed during all hours that the library is open.

 Reference desk/Reference Books, Children's Literature and Curriculum Collection are found in  Library West.   If you are not sure where to begin on a Research project, you may go to the Library       Reference desk for assistance. 


The ComputeLibrary Computer Labr Lab and Specialty Software Lab are found in the Library's East Wing. The library has computers as well as color and black and white printers.  Anyone can use these computers. To access you may use your email username and password. There is a charge for printing. Just add money to your FGCU ID on the dispenser in the Computer Lab. If you need to use a computer, click here to see what's available in real time. Check out the Information about the Computer Lab which includes current information about printing and photocopying. 

 Check out 2nd Floor of Library East.  Many Education books are found in the L section.  While on the 2nd floor you will notice the group study rooms in back of the 2nd floor as well as several study tables and spaces.

3rd Floor View and Study TablesContinue to the 3rd Floor.  Here you will find a fantastic view of the campus and a quiet place to study as well as the university archives and the rest of the book collection.  If you decide to check out a book, all you need is your FGCU ID card.

Laptops are welcome!  The Library has wireless access and most of FGCU is wireless.  If you have questions about wireless on campus, please go to the FGCU wireless page.
